To help give some inspiration on why Theatre Token gift cards are the perfect gift I thought I would share some of our favourite theatre shows. We are huge theatre fans and my teenagers love going to see shows in Manchester and in the West end. Over the years we have taken them to see many performances but below are our top 5 theatre shows that you can go and see using the Theatre Tokens gift cards.

Harry Potter and the cursed child

By far one of the best theatre performances I have ever seen Harry Potter and the cursed child is amazing for Potterheads but also just as mesmerising for fans of theatre. With elaborate stage designs and a two-part story that covers a previously untold tale from the wizarding world, this had to come at the top of our list.

Hamilton

This was the last theatre show we saw and i did not disappoint. Although my daughter had repeatedly watched the show on Disney+ she was still enthralled with the live show. The theatre itself was amazing and even the cheaper seats that we had on the upper circle had an amazing view.

Wicked

Wicked was one of the first proper theatre productions that I took my kids to see. It captured their imaginations and their hearts and they would love to go back and see it again. The set design was incredible, the songs were amazing and the wizard was just scary enough to make you jump in your seats.

Matilda The Musical

One of my favourite childhood books, Matilda has been perfectly adapted to the stage. With a great cast, fantastic use of props and a little bit of magic, Matilda The Musical definitely delivers on a show suitable for all ages. We took my mum with us to this show and all three generations thoroughly enjoyed it.

Gangsta Granny

We have actually seen a few David Walliams adaptations in the theatre and they have all been fantastic. These are great shows for getting kids into the theatre if you have not yet introduced them to this delight yet.

So there you have it 5 great theatre shows that you can watch at the theatre right now and with so many more on our list of must-see shows such as Aladdin, School of Rock and Dear Evan Hansen there will always be something suitable.
