Universal Orlando – Volcano Bay

Next July we will be heading back to Florida for two weeks full of fun and adventures and right near the top of our list will be a return visit to Universal Orlando. We love visiting the Universal theme parks and now our visit will be even more interesting due to the opening of the brand new Universal Orlando Volcano Bay waterpark. Due to open in the summer of 2017 it is perfect timing for us to visit when we are over there and we honestly can’t wait.

Universal's Volcano Bay

Described as a radically innovative water theme park that covers over 28 acres full of 18 unique attractions over four imaginatively themed areas, it sounds as though it will be teeming with amazing things to and if it is themed as well as the other parks it will be an amazing site.

Guests to Volcano Bay will have the opportunity to experience a variety of attractions from daring to serene and everything in between.  From exhilarating multi-person rides to relaxing beaches, children’s splash zones, underwater caves and slides that drop you in the water when you least expect it.

I am definitely one for the more relaxing of the attractions but I know hubby can’t wait to try some of these fabulous new water rides and the girls will go on anything that they are tall enough to go on. Whilst the beach and reef will be calling my name I can imagine they will all be dragging me on the water slides!

Universal have not released full details of what we can expect to find at Volcano Bay next year but it will be opening in summer 2017 and as soon as I have more details I will share them with you. In the mean time check out these images which show what Volcano Bay will look like and some of the fun that you can expect to find there.

  1. I didn’t know Universal was opening a waterpark next year and I am sure it will be awesome. Having 2 fearless kids and an equally fearless husband this sounds right up their street. We are due a trip back to Orlando as we last visited in 2013 x
