By the end of your holiday you will have your Barbados bucket list completed, (bet you still find an excuse to return)!

1. Water sports

Barbados is home to insanely transparent waters which surround the bay, so opting out of a water activity would be a big mistake. Choose from one of these once in a lifetime opportunities including, scuba diving, swimming with turtles, sailing, parasailing, paddle boarding, waterskiing and much more!

2. Explore the oceans

For those of you who aren’t fans of physically getting into the water, you don’t have to worry, you will not miss out. Try the 45 minute excursion on the Atlantis Submarine which goes 150ft under the water’s surface. See how many tropical fish you can spot and enjoy witnessing life in the underwater world.

3. Explore Harrison’s Cave

Named after a landowner in the area, Thomas Harrison, this magical, crystallised cave is a must see and has many tours on offer, both on foot and trams.

There are 5 different tours to choose from, the Tram Tour which takes 1 hour, the Eco-Adventure tour which takes 3.5 hours, the Walk-In Cave Tour which takes 1 hour, the Scenic Gully Tour which takes 1.5 hours and the Junior Explorer’s Tour which takes 45 minutes.

4. Indulge in local food

During your stay on the island of Barbados, you must spend at least one of your evening meals at one of the top restaurants on the island.

The Cliff is one of Barbados’ most famous restaurants located above a cove where you can watch stingrays swim around in the light water. It’s sister, The Cliff Beach Club is a lot more relaxed and more affordable, located just next door. Enjoy some live music as you sit back and appreciate the beautiful sea views.

Cin Cin by the Sea is another popular restaurant, it offers incredible ocean views from every table, if you are after more of an alternative menu, this is the place to go!

5. RUM!

Become a rum expert as you embark on the Mount Gay Rum Tour, with a rum punch in hand, learn about how rum is produced and the historic story, dating back to 1703. After you have completed the tour, become your own rum cocktail maker and see if your cocktail creation can win the competition!

6. Hunte’s Gardens

Located up in the hills, Hunte’s Gardens is a beautiful setting where you can venture through the incredibly landscaped gardens. Be at one with the wildlife and really make the most of the tranquil atmosphere. Don’t forget to visit the nursery at the end of your trip and see all the exotic plant which are on offer!
