The Razor E100S Electric Scooter did require some assembly when taken out of the box but it wasn’t too complicated and after plugging it in to charge it Alison couldn’t wait to get started. The charge is estimated to take 12 hours but we have only charged it once so far and although she has ridden it quite a few times to school and back as well as outside our house it is still going strong. She also tried to ride it on small hills in the park and they make quite good powerful electric scooters for hills. Riding on slopes have a significant effect on riding times, but in our opinion, the battery holds its charge well when in use and when not in use.
We decided that the E100S was the preferred model as it comes with an optional seat which you screw on. You can, however, use the scooter without the seat which gives even more flexibility.
Alison (6) has absolutely loved riding this and is not scared to go fast however Elizabeth (7) is a lot more cautious and didn’t like it when you started the engine so you really need to judge this based on your child rather than by age although I would say that 8 plus does seem like a good age as the Razor E100S Electric Scooter is very heavy and hard for Alison to lift up and down curbs.
The Razor E100S Electric Scooter has a maximum speed of 3MPH which seems really fast when you watch your child whizzing around on it. To be honest, I just wish it had a bigger maximum weight so I could have a go! The maximum weight requirement is 54KG.
Alison has become the envy of all of her friends in the playground when she gets to ride this for the school run and I think that a lot of them will be putting this on their Christmas lists.
