Alison loves getting crafty and Qixels are the perfect way to get creative and spend a few hours. The new Qixels Kingdom Castle Attack set helps to build on the Qixels concept by also giving you a playable area.
The Qixels Kingdom Castle Attack comes with 1000 Qixels cubes, designs for 5 characters, a variety of plastic accessories and a buildable castle which can be customised to create a variety of backgrounds.
Making the Qixels characters and other designs are really simple. Follow the templates using the included palettes. Qixels can be fiddly to place but you soon get the hang of it and it becomes easier the more you do. The Qixels templates help to create some fantastic characters that really come to life in a way that doesn’t seem possible when you look at it on paper. Once your design is complete use the spray bottle to lightly coat the design in water to allow it to stick together. Leave it to dry and you are ready to play.
When the designs are complete they can be stood up using the included stands and these can then be inserted into the castle base like the top three photos below or placed on the two separate plinths (like the bottom two photos) which allow you to move them around easily whilst playing. You can also add on the plastic accessories such as the shield and fire.
The Qixels Kingdom Castle attack set creates fantastic characters but what makes it stand out from other similar products is the castle playset that comes with it. As the pieces all slot together easily and can be rearranged in all sorts of designs it really helps to add to the playability of the set.
Alison had great fun not only making all of the characters but also playing with the set afterwards and she really enjoyed changing the castle scenery to create different types of castles which helped to add to her enjoyment of the set.
