Nick JR presents the Sing-Along Summer with Dora and Friends

Nick JR have launched Sing-Along summer where you can tune into Nick Jr every day between 10 am and 1 pm to watch some of your children’s favourite shows with on-screen lyrics to the songs.

To celebrate this, the Dora Sing-Along karaoke booth is touring the UK and visiting a selection of Sky Retail stands and Smyths Toy Superstores. Children will get the chance to meet Dora as well as film their very own sing-along to the Dora and Friends: Into the City! theme tune. Videos can then be submitted into a competition where the winners will be shown on the Nick Jr channel. If you can’t get to the karaoke booth kids can film their own video at home and upload it via nickjr.co.uk or the Nick Jr facebook page.

I was sent some of the Dora and Friends toys to review with the kids to get us in the mood for Sing-Along summer.

First up was the Fisher Price Dora and Friends dolls. Each doll comes with a fabulous outfit and a small pet which can be placed the Dora charm bracelets available separately.

The dolls are joined at the waist and shoulders and the clothes are held on by velcro so they are easy to remove and put back on. The shoes also slip on and off but are secure enough not to fall off all the time.

Next up was the Dora Talk and Play Smartphone. The large lenticular image is the only button on the phone and it moves between being a picture of all the friends together and a single image of Dora. I don’t know what it is about pretend phones but the girls love them and this was no exception.

The final item we were sent was the Dora Magic Charm Bracelet set and a magic adventure charms set. You can mix and match the charms on the bracelets and add extra charms. There is a selection of adventure charm packs available featuring a small Dora and Friends figure as well as a bracelet and a few charms to compliment the larger set which has the large bracelet with friends charms as well as the smaller bracelets and charms.

The girls loved the Dora and Friends range of toys and they are looking forward to visiting Dora in store in a few weeks.
