We are huge Nerf fans in this house and so when we were offered the chance to review the brand new Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker bow I couldn’t resist. We have had a variety of different Nerf blasters in the past and they never fail to impress with the quality of the design and the build.
The Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker bow came in two parts and includes 5 Zombie Elite darts. The top of the bow clipped easily onto the main body of the Nerf weapon.
The design of the bow includes lots of details that reflect the Zombie Strike story where survivors creating weapons taken from different places, I love the pliers that form part of the handle that looks like it has been taped on with duct tape and the adjustable wrench on the side. It really does look as though it has been made out of whatever parts they could find lying around. The Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow fires 1 dart at a time through a rotating barrel that automatically turns when the bow is reset.
The bow is easy to use and is set by pulling back on the scissor handle looking catch on the top. Once this clicks into place the trigger is then used to release the darts.
The attention to detail on this Nerf weapon really is fantastic and the design adds to the imaginative play that accompanies a toy like this. Alison couldn’t wait to start shooting zombies and apparently I look like a bit of a Zombie in the morning before I have have had my coffee because she took great pleasure in shooting me the other morning.
