Buy It right Shopping game is a fantastic game for kids aged 5 to 11 and is suitable for 2 to 4 players. The board game consists of trolleys cards, buy it right tokens, 4 playing pieces, 3 dice and money in various denominations.

I love the fact that the box can be used as a cash register with all of the different compartments inside, it really shows that a lot of thought went in to how exactly this will be played with.

The game play is very simple and can be played at a variety of levels using 1, 2 or 3 dice. The aim is to collect two items of each colour by moving around the board and following the instructions from the squares on the board.

We played at the beginner level of “pounds only” first which uses just one dice so that we could all get used to it and found that it was the perfect starting level for Alison at 6 years old but a bit easy for Elizabeth. The Intermediate level is using “pence only” and used two dice to decide the price of the items. Depending on the level you play you start with different amounts of money and collec different amounts as you pass the start space. This is all explained clearly in the instructions.

This was a great game to teach about higher and lower amounts, coin recognition and giving change. We really enjoyed playing this and as it can get harder depending on the level we play this game can grow with the girls as they get better at playing.
