Alison is a huge Star Wars fan and she loves getting creative so when I saw that Aquabeads have released a Star Wars playset I knew it would be a big hit. The Aquabeads Star Wars Playset includes templates for four different characters.
The Aquabeads Star Wars playset includes all the beads that you need to make the four templates as well as a tray with a removable lid and a water squirter. The lid slides on and off and clips into place easily which means it is a great place to store additional beads.
The four designs included in this playset include C3PO, R2D2, Darth Vader and a Stormtrooper. I would love to create more Aquabead Star Wars designs and have found a few smaller sets on Amazon including a BB-8 and Chewbacca set, a Kylo Ren and Stormtrooper set and a fabulous 3D Millenium Falcon set.
It is not often that both of my girls are able to get creative together but they really enjoyed creating these designs. I feel that the combination of easy to recognise characters along with playset lid that allows two designs to be created at the same time meant that it was a great way to get them to cooperate together.
As well as being the place where you create the designs and the lid to the Aquabeads Star Wars Playset container, the plastic lid can also be placed on its side to allow the water to drain away from your designs. This means that they dried quicker that some of the other ones that we have created in the past and is a great design feature.
The finished designs look fantastic and the combination of the crystal beads and the solid colour beads mean that the details really stand out. I particularly love the way C3PO’s eyes look when the light can be seen through them but this was hard to capture on a photo.
The Aquabeads Star Wars Playset is fabulous and something that we all enjoyed. We are looking forward to seeing more of the Aquabeads ranges and I know they have some great sets due out in 2017 for us to look forward too.
