Mad Mothers day weekend plans

Mothers day should be a time for Mums to relax, get pampered and not do anything.

That is not how it will be for me this weekend.

I have made it my mission to fulfil the last two wishes that Elizabeth made to Starlight Foundation last year and the opportunity arose for us to do them both this weekend.

The fabulous people at South Lakes wildlife park (our favourite ever zoo) had a brilliant Mothers Day Animal Experience on offer. A family experience where you can feed and interact with selected animals and get a lunch too. I couldn’t resist and convinced Hubby that he should get it for me for Mothers day. We are now all looking forward to feeding the giraffes at 1:30 on Saturday. Elizabeth is so excited she can’t wait. You can feed the giraffes on a normal visit for a nominal charge but this will be extra special.

Her second wish was to see Dora the Explorer at Nickelodeon Land. We visited last July and had an amazing time. I dropped them an email and they were more than happy to help.. A whole weekend dedicated to making her wishes come true. Hopefully she will feel better by then as she is suffering from side effects from last weeks chemotherapy at the moment and has missed two days off school so far this week.

I think I will need some pampering afterwards and Radox were nice enough to send me some lovely smelling bubble bath and shower gel so I may have to put that to use at the end of the day.

We have been given free tickets to Nickelodeon land to grant Elizabeth’s wish. We paid to go to South Lakes Wildlife park. I received the radox to help me pamper myself.
