This is what I have won
The holiday includes a week long stay at the 4* Lakitira Beach Resort in Kos, Greece with flights from London, transfers in Kos, accommodation on a full board basis (excluding drinks), childcare from 4 months – 17 years, sailing and windsurfing with tuition, tennis, mountain biking and a fitness programme.
I can’t imagine I will be partaking in the fitness programme but the rest of it sounds fantastic. I spent last night reading the Mark Warner website and the reviews of the resort and it sounds great. I love the fact there is child care and the girls will really enjoy the kids club activities that they have on. I am tempted to go and join the kids too as they have a special kids beach that is perfect for paddling and they do lots of fabulous activities together.
We have not been on a beach holiday in a long time, in fact the last time we went abroad was for our honeymoon in November 2009 but with a 12 week old and a 17 month old it wasn’t a very relaxing trip. I am enjoying the idea of some me time, sat in the sun reading my kindle or swimming in the pool.
I love Greece and my first ever holiday abroad was to Corfu when I was about 12. I thought about learning a few Greek words but gave up pretty quickly, it is a really hard language to learn.
As we only ever do driving holidays in the UK I need some help. We will obviously have to leave the car behind to get on the plane and that means leaving my ample boot behind and packing all of our things in a suitcase. The weather in Kos at that time of year can vary from 16 to 23 degrees so we will need to pack a few jumpers and rain coats as it has been known to rain too. What I want to know from you is what else you would pack?
