It has been an amazing year. As a blogger I have made great friends, worked with great pr’s and brands and been on some great adventures.
I have run further than I ever thought possible, I have raised over £500 for charity and I have given away 196 christmas presents. I have been to London for conferences and conventions and been to theme parks, the theatre and to festivals.
This year has seen a lot of changes in our lives. Elizabeth has started school and then had problems getting into reception and I completely changed my job, giving up my career as an accountant to become a childminder.
Occasionally I talk to someone outside of the blogging world and they ask me why do I blog. Why do I spend my evenings with my laptop on my knee and spend my days planning what to write. Why do I talk to people I have never met as though I have known them all my life or the ones I have met once or twice as though they are family. I know so much about their lives and so much about their children and they know so much about mine.
I tend to tweet more than blog so sometimes I will look and realise I haven’t blogged for a few days and then other days it just keeps coming and I will blog and blog and blog all night long.
I now feel as though I have reached a point in my blogging life where I am completely happy, I have some amazing connections with some amazing companies and I know that the next year will be even better. I am no longer a new blogger, I have been blogging for a whole year and that is a brilliant achievement.
I have some more great things up my sleeve for the next year and I know you will be just as excited by them as I am.
