Festive fun on the Manchester City Etihad Stadium Tour

Last weekend we were lucky enough to be invited along to a special preview of the City Santa vs City Elf themed tour. Open to the public from Saturday the 10th December the City Santa vs City Elf tour takes you around the Etihad stadium where you will get to take part in some fun festive challenges and get behind the scenes at a  top Premiership club. Although we are not Manchester City fans we really enjoyed the tour and the festive challenges helped to keep the kids interested.

The Festive fun challenges ranged from a race to decorate the tree to a competition to knock down as many snowmen as we could. As we moved around the Etihad Stadium tour we visited the press conference suite and the dressing rooms as well as visiting the home and away areas where the players sit during a game.

I think these City Santa vs City Elf tours are ideal for families where the grown-ups are a lot more interested in visiting than the kids. This way you can use the family friendly nature of the tour to occupy the children whilst you spend your time enjoying the sights of the Etihad Stadium. All children under 12 who attend this special tour will receive a Christmas gift from the club and they will also be entered into a prize draw  to win the chance to be a player escort at the Manchester  City v Liverpool match, scheduled to take place on Saturday 18th March  2017. This is a great prize and one that we would love to win (especially as I am a Liverpool fan!).

Everyone who attends one of the Etihad Stadium Tours in December will receive a 20% discount off all purchases in the City Store which means it is a great chance to stock up on some Christmas gifts. We absolutely loved their Christmas Elf and Santa jumpers but as a house full of reds (United and Liverpool) we couldn’t bring ourselves to buy them even if £5 from each jumper will be donated to local community projects delivered by City in the Community.

Tickets for the tour cost £17 per adult, £11 per child aged 5-16 and £12 for concessions and will run on select days throughout December. mancity.com/tours
