5 things to keep your kids entertained on a plane

Heading off on holiday with a young child who can’t sit still can be a daunting thing. When we ourselves are feeling restless and fidgety, how are we supposed to take care of our kids? So whenever you’re travelling on a flight, make preparations which will help you keep your kids entertained on a plane. Here are some simple and creative ways to do that.

Games:

Games are a brilliant past time for kids. Kids love playing games and they can play as long as you let them play. So this is the best way to keep them busy. Take a portable game player or if you do not want to carry any extra gadgets then carry some travel board games like Disney Charades, UNO cards or Rubik’s cube. While your kids are on their games, you can try out your hand on online bingo which is a fun game and will also help you to keep an eye on your kids. Check Betway Bingo page to know more.

Colouring books:

Aside from being a fun activity to kill time, there are claims that colouring has therapeutic benefits such as relieving stress or anxiety. If you prefer not to carry on a bunch of crayons or coloured pencils, you can even download colouring books on your tablet. This will only keep the kids entertained for a short time, but you can always switch to the other options.

Shapes in the cloud:

Make your kid sit near the window and play the “find the shapes in the cloud” game. This is as much fun for the grown-ups as it is for the kids and it is a great way to pass time.

Learn to draw:

Pack a small sketchbook and pencil in your carry on and let your kids try out their drawing skills (or use a stylus and tablet). Save a few photos to your phone that they can use as a reference or find an app or e-book that will walk them through the steps.

The never ending snacks:

Pack plenty of snacks. Little boxes of raisins, string cheese, or other treats that can be eaten tiny bit by tiny bit extend how long that snack (and the entertainment associated with eating) will last.

Pick these no-fuss tips, go ahead and keep your kids entertained so you can all have a good time on the plane.
