2015 – What a year, here is to 2016!

It become a bit of an annual tradition to look back on our year and see all the amazing things we have done that then help to inspire me for the year ahead and 2015 was an amazing year. We had good health all round with hardly any hospital appointments, Gaming Daddy of Two got a job he seems to enjoy, I hosted 3 Blog On conferences up and down the country  and I started working with a toy company doing their social media and blogger outreach.

It has also been a year of amazing adventures and here is a brief recap of some of the fantastic things we have done.

January

January saw us start the year in the way we wanted to continue with a short break to Portugal to visit the Martinhal Beach Resort. This is still one of Gaming Daddy of Twos all time favourite places we have visited and I have a real soft spot for it too. I would love to vist when the weather was warmer so that we could experience the water sports and some of the other facilities that were shut at the time we went.

We also spent a lovely few days in the Lake District at Keswick Country House Hotel although we could have been luckier with the weather.

February

February saw us spend a lot of time in the UK visiting Potters Resort in Great Yarmouth, Butlins Skegness and the Ox Pasture Hotel in Scarborough. We also spent a fantastic weekend at the Royal Garden Hotel in London where we got to explore and learn more about the Great Fire of London which was Elizabeths school topic at the time.

March

March was fairly quiet as I was hosting Blog On Cymru but I did take part in the Comic Relief Danceathon and got to lay my eyes on the Hogwarts Express for the very first time.

April

April was a particular highlight of mine as we went on holiday with Alice and her family from Life As Alice. We all shared a Canvas Holiday Lodge at the La Croix Du Vieux Pont resort in france. We also went to the Thomas Land expansion at Drayton Manor where my kids proved that they tell the truth on video and talked us out of the chance to be Drayton Manor bloggers (if you havent seen that video you really should)!

May

May saw the second Blog On of the year take place in Manchester and we also had a lot of fun at the Lost Carnival and the Basil Brush Show. We were VIPs at the first ever Geronimo Festival which was brilliant and we are looking forward to going again in 2016.

June

In June I took the girls to see Wicked at the theatre which they absolutely adored and we also went for Afternoon Tea at the Lancaster Hotel where they were really spoilt. We also headed to Legoland Windsor to see the new Heartlake City area which was a fun family day out.

July

July was jam packed with adventures including a weekend with my girls in Blackpool, a visit to Shreks Adventure, the Harry Potter Sweets and Treats event and visiting the Disney Magic Cruise Ship which was a real eye opener as I never knew cruise ships would be that amazing.

August

August saw us get our first set of camping equipment and go to Camp Bestival which was an amazing experience and definitely one we all want to repeat. I also took my little brother, Mum and Step Dad to Potters Resorts  where we enjoyed fun for all the family including being caught by the Phantom Flan Flinger!

September

September was a really exciting month which saw us announced as the Funseeking family for Carnival Cruises whilst we were sunning ourselves in Mallorca at a Villas 4 You villa. Yes I know just how lucky we are to have these opportunities.

October

October saw us spend Halloween at Butlins which the girls loved and then we watched Disney On Ice Worlds of Enchantment in Manchester which has to be one of our favourite ones yet.

November

In November we started to get in the festive spirit with visits to Lapland UK and the Hogwarts in the Snow event at WB Studio Tour where I got to meet Dan TDM. I really wish I had asked him to explain Minecraft to me whilst I was there.

December

December started with two amazing weeks in Florida filled with some awesome adventures, many of which I have not shared with you yet. Some of my highlights were having Breakfast with the Grinch, swimming with dolphins at Discovery Cove, staying at Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge and visiting the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal.

2015 has been bloody awesome and here is to 2016 being even better.

We are looking forward to visiting Holland with Canvas Holidays and our first ever cruise with Carnival Cruises as well as many other adventures that we can’t wait to share with you. We hope you have a great 2016 and thanks for reading!
