When choosing a camping site there are a lot of things to consider and it all depends on your family and your priorities. We have just returned from the Isle of Wight where we spent 6 days at The Orchards Holiday Park and we are already looking to book again for next year.
The Orchards Holiday Park has static caravans, hard standing pitches, and grass pitches of various sizes and they all have electricity. Camping with electricity is a game-changer so if you haven’t tried it yet then I definitely recommend it.
We looked at a lot of sites on the Isle of Wight before settling on The Orchards and I have to say that the main reason we chose this site was the outdoor pool but that isn’t the only thing that made this site perfect. The site also had an indoor pool so there was plenty of space even on a hot day.
The field that we were camping in had lots of space for the kids to play as the pitches were around the edge and the views were amazing.
The facilities on site were the best I have seen. I never once went into the toilet to find there was no toilet roll. The showers were spacious and clean and there were plenty of toilets, showers, and sink cubicles available at all times.
There was a separate area inside for washing dishes and they even had lots of accessible facilities as well as a room for bathing babies which is amazing. There were also washing machines and tumble dryers available to use at a small charge and irons and ironing boards which you can use for free.
On site there are two play areas, a pool room with two pool tables (50p a game) and a table tennis table. The shop sells a small selection of food as well as local souveniers and there is a takeaway which is open for breakfast and evening meal.
The Orchards Holiday park was the perfect base to explore the Isle of Wight and we can’t wait to head back again soon for more adventures.
