This week we attended Winter Wonderland Manchester for our fourth year and I was seriously impressed with the growth of this event. Winter Wonderland in Manchester is the UK’s Largest Indoor Christmas theme park and it isn’t just about the rides. Each four-hour slot also gives you the chance to watch a mini panto, see Santa in his fantastic house, watch a circus, train to be a Jedi and even get to see the wonderful Basil Brush live on stage. If that isn’t enough there were more rides, fun houses and fun fair activities that you could possible ride on in the four hours and there really was something for all age groups.
With a family of four ticket costing £64, I know that parents will be wanting to ensure that they get their money worth and I can honestly say that not only have I had the opportunity to attend this event as a member of the press but I have also spent my own money so that we can go back again. My girls absolutely love the place and with it being inside I don’t need to worry about the weather spoiling our fun.
The big improvements for me this year was the new Santa area where you walk through Santa’s house and see Mrs Claus in the kitchen before meeting the big man in the mail room. Once you have visited Santa you get to meet his reindeer before taking a look at your pictures. Visiting Santa is included in your entrance fee although you can pay £3.50 per child to be able to choose a gift from the elves at the end.
If you are wondering whether you should invest in tickets and enjoy a festive day out then why not check out my daughters video from their experience last year?
