A few weeks ago I was extremely privileged to be taken to Paris for two nights so that I could attend Les Spot des E-Fluent. Les Spot des E-fluent is a conference that has been organised by Parole de Mamans, which is a french parenting magazine and website. This year they decided that they wanted to branch out to the international audience and they invited bloggers from around Europe to attend. I flew from Manchester to Paris on a really short flight of just over an hour (which made me realise just how accessible Paris really is!). My travel was arranged by Selectour afat.
As part of this fantastic two night, three-day whistlestop in Paris we had the opportunity to enjoy a Gala dinner on a boat down the river Seine with Paris En Scene who took us past the beautifully lit up Eiffel Tower. It was at this event that I wore my new Very Party dress that I wrote about last week. We got to stay in the lovely Hotel Saint James Albany which was just a stone throw away from the Louvre and directly opposite the Tuileries Gardens.
The next morning we headed across Paris on the metro system to the Les Spot Des E-Fluent to be introduced to some fantastic brands and get to see a French blogger event in action. I have to say that my poor understanding of French did not help me here but I was amazed at how many people apologised for their English before speaking to me perfectly! I had a great time wandering around and seeing all of the fantastic things on offer and really enjoyed talking with some of the relevant brands who were there.
We then had a bit of time before the evening event so a group of us decided to take a wander around the amazing architecture of Paris. We visited some of the Christmas markets, took far too many photos of statues and lampposts before ending up at the base of the Eiffel Tower. By this point, it was getting a little bit cold so we decided to head back to the hotel to get ready for the evening.
The following morning we had just enough time to spend a few hours wandering around a tiny portion of the Louvre, somewhere I have wanted to visit for many years and somewhere I will definitely have to return too.
I had an amazing time in Paris and at the Les Spot Des E-Fluent. I look forward to seeing how the conference grows and adapts to an international audience and wish them all the best for future years.
