Festive Menu at Beefeater

Last week we headed along to our local Beefeater restaurant to sample their new Festive menu in time for Christmas.

With two courses for £14.99 or three courses for £18.49, it is a really affordable meal out that gives lots of festive options. There is also a kids festive menu for £6.99. For a starter, we ordered a Prawn Cocktail and Duck pate with spiced date, fig and orange chutney. Both dishes were lovely and fresh and the chutney tasted extremely festive with just the right amount of spice.

For the main course, we decide not to opt for the classic roast turkey dinner and instead I opted for the festive steak with mushroom and brandy sauce and crispy onions with bacon whilst Hubby chose the grilled salmon with prawn and lobster sauce. I really enjoyed my steak and the mushroom sauce worked really well as an alternative to my normal peppercorn sauce.

When it came to pudding it was really hard to choose but we opted for the individual Christmas pudding with brandy cream and the Christmas brownie with mince pie ice cream and caramel and chocolate sauce. The Christmas pudding was lovely and the perfect size after a nice big dinner. The mince pie ice cream was delicious but I found the brownie to be a bit rich after my steak.

If you are looking for somewhere to go to enjoy a festive meal as a family then I definitely recommend the Festive menu at Beefeater as it features a variety of options that go beyond the basics and should have something for everyone (plus the normal meal options are available too).
