We love receiving products to review that are different from anything else that we have had before and the Real Construction Deluxe Workshop by Jakks Pacific fits that description. Alison is very creative and she had seen the adverts for this set so she was very excited to get started.
The Real Construction Deluxe Workshop is just one of the available sets which include a starter project set and a boat set. The one we were sent includes 129 pieces in total and contains plans for 8 different models although you don’t actually get enough material to make more than one. You can buy refill sets though.
The Real Construction Deluxe Workshop contains a large variety of tools and screws which are perfect for the building material. The set includes a hand saw, a detail saw, a hammer, a screwdriver, a hole cutter hand with two different hole cutters, a measuring square, two hinges, 20 x 1.5 inch nails, 20 x 1.5 inch screws, 10 x 2.5 inch nails, 10 x 2.5 inch screws, 20 x 1 inch nails and 20 x 1 inch screws.
The Real Construction sets come with a special type of building material that looks like wood but is a bit like a stiff foam. In the Real Construction Deluxe Workshop set you receive 3 large planks, 4 small planks, 2 large beams, 5 small beams, 1 large log and 4 small logs.
The Real Construction Deluxe Workshop comes with an instruction leaflet with shows the 8 different projects but the leaflet is only small so I recommend heading to RealConstructionToys.com where you can see the instructions to all of the projects and be able to print them out so that they are easier to follow. You can also download the instructions from the starter set and the boats set. As this is the first time we have used the Real Construction kit we have decided to print one of the easier designs from the starter set and use that to create our first project.
We will share the finished project on Instagram when we have done but for now I need to go and get a 30 cm ruler so I can measure all of these pieces correctly.
