I have always enjoyed a good jigsaw puzzle but find that I just don’t have the time to make them like I used to and that once I had finished I would just have to break them up and pop them back in the box. We were recently sent the Ravensburger Disney Castle 216 piece 3D jigsaw puzzle and I couldn’t wait t get started because the finished product could be displayed for all to see.
The puzzle is recommended from age 12 to 99 so it was definitely one for me to build instead of the girls and I could see why. some of the builds were quite tricky especially the turrets and you needed steady hands and a lot of patience.
The Disney Castle is made up of a combination of plastic supports/embellishments and the jigsaw pieces. The pieces vary in shape and size and are numbered to make the build easier.
The set has 96 plastic accessory pieces which help to give the finished castle fabulous stability which means it can be displayed for a long time to come without you having to worry about it collapsing.
The characters that decorate the castle vary from some older films to some really recent ones and with over 100 characters to find we had great fun looking for them all and seeing what they were up to.
We particularly enjoyed looking at the turrets where you can see the designs following the full length of the column. This worked really well for Tangled and you get to see Maximus, Flynn, and Rapunzel on the design. Instead of just shoving the characters on to the castle they have really put thought into where they belong and placed them accordingly.
The finished Disney Castle looks fantastic and is a whopping 17.3 x 10.6 x 19.5 inches and looks absolutely amazing. I was tempted to glue it all together so it would look like this forever but it is quite robust already so I am sure it will be like this for a long time to come. I just need to find somewhere to display it now.
If you are a Disney fan and you are looking for a jigsaw puzzle that will turn into a keepsake hen the Ravensburger Disney Castle 3D jigsaw puzzle could be the perfect puzzle for you.
