We are huge fans of the new Disney Beauty and the Beast live action movie. I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it and whether seeing Emma Watson play the part of Belle would ruin the movie for me but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Emma was the perfect Belle and really helped to bring the character to life. We were recently sent the new Enchanting Melodies Belle doll from Hasbro and I was amazed at the attention to detail on its face and dress.
The Enchanting Melodies Belle dress is beautifully made with multiple layers of fabric and a beautiful design printed on to the bottom. She comes with some beautiful gold shoes and a matching necklace.
The Enchanting Melodies Belle has long curly hair and it is ideal for children who love playing with their dolls hair although it will never look as good as it did in the box. The doll takes three 1.5V LR44 battery which are accessible in her back. You can also find the on/demo switch on her back. There isn’t an off switch which can be a little bit annoying as it means that she starts singing even when you don’t want her too.
Enchanting melodies Belle is activated by her stomach. She then sings the song “Something There” from the live action movie.
We have both the Enchanting Melodies Belle and the Village dress Belle doll and the over all quality of the dolls clothing, hair and facial features are brilliant. The subtle changes in the make up from village Belle to Enchanting Melodies Belle is well done and not to heavy.
Both of my girls have loved retelling the story of Beauty and the Beast using these dolls and being able to listen to the song as they play really adds to the fun.
