We all love a bit of therapeutic colouring and the girls now love it even more as colouring in has now become high tech. I was introduced to Crayola Colour Alive back in January at the Toy fair and I know that the girls would really enjoy it. We have been sent the Mythical Creatures and Enchanted Forest sets to review and the girls can not wait to get their hands on even more. They are particularly interested in the Skylanders one as they both love Skylanders at the moment.
I downloaded the Colour Alive app on both my android phone and our ipad so that I could experience it on both platforms and it works really well. The app allows you to either show the special effects that can be obtained by using special effects pens or to turn your drawing into a 4D character.
Each book and pen set comes with one special effects pen. The picture below shows the pixie dust effect from the Enchanted Forest set. We also loved the Fire effect from the Mythical Creatures set.
Turning your drawing into a 4D creation is really easy to do using the app and once they have been rendered you can make them change size, become animated or move them around your room.
You can even take a selfie with your creation which the girls thought was fantastic.

We have really enjoyed using the Crayola Colour Alive books, pens and app and highly recommend it as a way of encouraging creativity and having lots of fun.
