If you’re the type of family that enjoys playing party games on your games console, then look no further than Just Dance 2014. There are lots of dance games out there to choose from but Just Dance is the type of game that caters for all ages.
Just Dance is full of modern pop songs from the likes of One Direction, Olly Murs and Lady Gaga, whilst also mixing in some old classics from ABBA, Village People and Michael Jackson.
To play the game you simply have to mirror what the dancers are doing on screen. With each move you will see a little box at the bottom of your TV that tells you what is coming next. Points are scored when you sync your moves in time with the dancers and there is bonus points awarded for singing along with the songs.
The routines aren’t too difficult and some make for laugh out loud moments. Then there’s the shame at the end of the song when the game puts together a montage of your best moves, which you can then load up to the internet for the whole Just Dance community to see.
It was great playing this game as a family as the girls were constantly laughing at daddy’s silly dance moves. Elizabeth and Alison were very pleased when they found the Olly Murs track ‘Troublemaker’, as they were able to get a big score by singing the song word for word.
Available for the following formats: Wii, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360. Also to be released for the PS4 and Xbox One.
