Back in January at the Toy Fair I was really excited to see Pebli Town on the Mookie toy stand. It really stood out as something different to everything else I was seeing and so when I got the chance to review it and give one away I knew I had to do it.
Pebli Town is an interactive play board and app that allows you to use the special figures to play games, create stories and more. The press information states
“Pebli is a connected pre-school toy from ToysAlive. It uses fun traditional play pieces and a physical play board that interact with a tablet (Tablet not included) to bring the toy to life. Pebli comes with 4 exciting interactive game modes; Story Teller, Game Player, Story Creator and Video Room. The board uses hot spot technology, which means that any actions on the board are translated to the tablet. 99% of all game play is done on the board with the physical characters, so children don’t have to directly interact with the tablet.”
Setting up Pebli Town was really easy and it runs off bluetooth and connects to your phone or tablet using the free to download Pebli Town Aoo. Pebli Town comes with 4 exciting interactive game modes; Story Teller, Games, Story Creator and Video Room. Most of the game play is done on the board and not on the tablet which is a great way for kids to play. Pebli Town is recommended for 3+ and allows up to 4 children to play at one time.
Pebli Town comes with four character figures Painter Poppy, Chef Charlie, Firemen Freddy and Doctor Daisy. It also comes with four buildings which includes the School House, Shop, Park and Town Hall.
Pebli Town has four play modes; Story, Games, Create and Videos.
• Story mode – 4 interactive stories with 22 alternative endings that teh children can control as they play.
• Game mode – 4 different games with 25 levels each which test problem solving and attention to detail.
• Create mode – Create your own stories using the characters, record their voices and adding special effects before watching it all back in the Pebli cinema.
• Video mode – Access 200 videos (wifi needed). My girls loved this area and really enjoyed exploring the different videos on offer.
