On Sunday the alarm went off at an unsociable hour and off me and Gaming Daddy of two went to our first ever car boot. The plan was that the girls would sell their toys to make some holiday money but as we were up and out before 6 am we decided to allow them to sleep in whilst being dutifully watched by their god father.
We set up flogged about half the stuff and hubby went and collected the girls. It seems that second hand toys and books that have been well looked after and unwanted toiletry gifts make great car boot items and our jammed to the roof car came back with just a small amount of unsold items.
Both the girls took their selling duties very seriously and it was fantastic to see them in action. We have given away a lot of toys over the years but from now on I think we will take our chance at the car boot especially as we managed to earn just over £250 for our holidays.
