On Sunday my heart swelled with pride as I held my daughters hands as we walked for 5 kilometres surrounded by thousands of other ladies and children. Yes they moaned that their feet were hurting occasionally but we talked with other walkers, other survivers, other fighters. We looked at the countryside as we walked and we spotted butterflies and dragonflies zipping through the air.
We have raised just under £400 in sponsorship which is brilliant for Cancer Research. The girls made me so proud with the way they have walked. They talked to so many other walkers, other survivors, other fighters. They laughed together and sang songs but seeing them holding hands and jogging towards the finishing line put a tear in my eye.
These girls have both been through so much but they are so strong and their love for each other surprises me all the time.
