I think that the 5 to 8 years age group is the easiest to buy for. There are so many different things available and kids at this age are fairly easy to please. Check out my list of top gifts for Christmas below as well as your chance to win a Hedbanz game.
The World of David Walliams puzzles
David Walliams is our girls absolute favourite author so these jigsaw puzzles from Paul Lamond are perfect for them. If your kids have not yet read the David Walliams books then I definitely recommend them and if they already love his books then these would make the perfect gift. David Walliams is perfect for the 5 to 8 years age range.
Power Rippers
Power Rippers are a fun product from Jakks Pacific. They are action figures, vehicles and battle tops all rolled into one. Pull the rip cords and release the power rippers as they perform crazy stunts and move so fast. The 2 in 1 competition set is a great play set to use to get the power rippers doing some insane stunts or battling it out in the arena. This is recommended for age 8 years plus but I personally think it fits better in this age range.
Unigoat “Lucky” plush bag
From the new Despicable Me 3 movie, we absolutely love this super cute backpack. Lucky is a Unigoat and if your kids watched Despicable Me 3 then you will know how much fans wanted to see more of him. This bag is available from Claire’s Accessories and features a big front pocket for storage and adjustable straps for comfort.
LEGO Friends 41301 – Puppy Parade
This Puppy style limo has cute doggy features and space inside for lots of puppies. The Puppy Parade set includes a golden puppy trophy and TV camera and microphone. Includes Andrea figure and Apollo the dog. There are a few different LEGO friends puppy sets and this is one of my favourite ones.
Oregon Scientific SmartGlobe Explorer AR
We absolutely love the Oregon Scientific SmartGlobe Explorer AR and the kids dont even realise they are learning. The combination of the AR technology and the fun and learning aspect means that this is something that parents won’t mind spending the money on and the kids will love playing with.
Chocolate Egg Surprise Maker
My kids love surprise eggs so being able to make your own is a dream come true. This Surprise Egg maker allows kids to make their own and even gift them to friends. There are 12 reusable capsules and 12 foil wrappers so you get enough to make 12 chocolate eggs. You need to add your own chocolate but everything else you need is included.
Beat The Flush
Beat The Flush by Megableu is a fast fun game where you use the headbands to collect germs and flick them into the toilet before the toilet flushes and you all get squirted. Suitable for ages 5 plus and for 2 to 4 players this is one that the kids will love.
Kurio Watch 2.0, Kurio Tab Advance and Kurio Snap
We know kids this age are all about the technology and the Kurio products allow us to give kids the technology they crave whilst keeping control and keeping them safe. All of these Kurio products are perfect for kids in the 5 to 8 years age group and we definitely recommend them.
Tumball
Another game by Megableu, Tumball is a game of concentration. You need to be careful as you place your white beads on to the coloured cluster of beads. The game involves a steady hand as you try not to disturb the other beads and cause the whole lot to come crashing down.
Aqua beads Disney Pixar Cars 3 Play set
Kids of this age absolutely love getting creative and the Aqua Beads Cars 3 play set comes with 4 different templates to create characters from the new Cars 3 movie. I love the fact that these play sets now come with a bead scraper which makes removing your designs from the trays so much easier. This Aqua beads play set is a brilliant starter set for someone new to Aqua beads but it is also a great gift for kids who already love them.
Hedbanz
We play a lot of family games and Hedbanz is one of our favourites. For ages 7 plus (but actually we played it when the kids are younger) and for 2 to 6 players. This What am I guessing game is great fun and you could win your very own copy by filling in the details on the form below.
