Before I went on holiday I spent an evening in London with the lovely Clare from Emmys Mummy supposedly learning how to cook with Quorn at the Underground Cookery School. After much alcohol was consumed and the giggles started we were shown and helped to make a fantastic Strawberry Meringue Roulade (that involved lots of stiffys). You can find the recipe below.
We also watched the chef cook a fabulous red Thai curry sauce although we didn’t get a chance to do this ourselves. They chefs had also cooked a separate batch of this sauce and a bolognese sauce and added Quorn products to these for us to have for our dinner.
Our second hands on experience was making the tagliatelle and surprisingly it wasnt a disaster like my last lot of homemade pasta but I put that down to the pasta machine we had to help us roll it flat and cut the tagliatelle.
After a few more alcoholic drinks we were seated to eat our tagliatelle bolognese and Red Thai curry. They both looked amazing but unfortunately the use of the quorn products ruined the dishes for me and although I do enjoy some of the flavoured quorn products I dont enjoy the meat replacement products as I find them bland and of a horrible squishy texture.

I did however love the pudding and even had two helpings although I ate it all before realising I didnt take a photo. I will never be a food blogger!
