When I was a teenager I was one of the lucky ones. I never got called Pizza Face or spotty. I had a few breakouts but nothing worth crying over or shouting about. Well it seems that now I have turned 30 things have changed. Apparently it is to do with my hormones! Well whatever it is I want it to stop. For the last few months I have been getting dreadful
acne along my jaw line. Not even small bumpy ones but big red angry looking ones that could wink at you if you looked to closely. I mean they are huge and no amount of concealer is going to fool anyone.
acne along my jaw line. Not even small bumpy ones but big red angry looking ones that could wink at you if you looked to closely. I mean they are huge and no amount of concealer is going to fool anyone.
So anyway I decided to have a look into ways to reduce them and I came up with a few interesting suggestions.
Baking Powder – You can make a paste of baking powder and water and massage it onto your skin
Oatmeal – You could massage cooled porridge into your skin (1 cup oats, 1 cup water)
Honey – You could cover your face in honey for 20 minutes
Cider Vinegar – You could wash your face with a mixture of Cider Vinegar and water (1 part cider vinegar to 3 parts water)
Egg Whites – Whip up some egg whites, apply to face in layers allowing to dry in between. 3 to 4 layers is enough. Wash off after 20 minutes.
Banana Peel – rub a banana peel over your skin in a circular motion.
Now I dont really want to smell like breakfast, a cake or like I have been pickled so these remedies don’t really appeal to me. I am definitely more of a medical treatment person than a home made remedy type so I was interested to read about the Skn Clinics Acne Treatments and if mine continue to get worse it will definitely be something I look into. For now I am going to drink more water, try to get more sleep and take a multivitamin incase it is a vitamin deficiency causing it.
