We love visiting the various Merlin attractions and a trip to Blackpool allows you to enjoy so many all in one place. We recently visited Madame Tussauds Blackpool after not going for a while and we were really surprised by the changes that we saw.
One of the areas that Alison loved the most and which is completely new is the Marvel Super Heroes zone. Featuring characters from the Avengers as well as from Guardians of the Galaxy there are lots of opportunities for some super selfies as well as some brilliant interactive elements. Madame Tussauds Blackpool has really upped their game with the interactive elements and making it feel fresh and new and we were really impressed.
The Sporting Heroes academy had lots of fun interactive experiences for people to take part in as well as some sporting legends to take photos with.
Both of my girls enjoyed playing the musical instruments in the Music Stars gallery although they didn’t know who most of the waxworks are which is a little bit depressing and it really shows me I need to do more to improve their music knowledge.
The Festival Fields area was also a new addition to Madame Tussauds Blackpool since we were there last. The kids played in a giant wellington boot and hung out with Ed Sheeran, Olly Murs and Ariana Grande. It is so nice to see that there are some new recognisable faces for the younger generation.
Overall, I was really impressed with new exhibits and how much Madame Tussauds Blackpool caters for the younger audience. They have really made the whole experience enjoyable for all the family and we will definitely be going back soon.
