I went to visit #HogwartsInTheSnow (and the day I met my kids hero!)

Seeing Hogwarts in the Snow has been a dream of mine for the last few years but I have never been able to make it to the Christmas events previously so I was very happy to have spent last night wandering around WB Studio Tours the making of Harry Potter and seeing it in all of its Christmas Splendor. I get asked why I keep returning the WB Studio Tours because surely once you have been once you have seen everything there is to see but that is certainly not the case.

Not only are different props on display at different times of the year but I also find myself seeing items that I have never seen before. I have still yet to use the audio guide and really take my time in there which is something I really want to do one day. Seeing everything decked out for Christmas using props from Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was fantastic and the attention to detail is amazing.

As usual we got the opportunity to ride on the brooksticks in the Green Screen area and I wasn’t going to take part but with the addition of the new Hogwarts In The Snow background I changed my mind and I am really happy that I did.

As a blogger, I am really privileged to get invited along to the VIP preview events for these things which are usually filled with celebrities as well as some of my friends from the blogging community. To be fair I am useless at celebrity spotting but I always feel that they should be left to just get on with their evening without being pestered. Yesterday that all changed. Although the evening was attended by the likes of Dynamo and Rod Stewart it wasn’t until I spotted DanTDM (The Diamond Minecart) that I just had to get a picture. Both of my girls love Minecraft and they watch Dan’s videos every single day so I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be the coolest Mum on the planet and have a selfie with Dan and then ask him to do the girls some autographs. It has to be one of the most embarrassing things I have ever done but the looks on the girls faces this morning made it all worthwhile.  Dan and his wife Jemma were both lovely and I can not thank them enough for allowing me to intrude on their evening to make my girls happy.
If you are a huge Harry Potter fan then I would definitely recommend heading to WB Studio Tours to check out the Hogwarts In The Snow event.  Last Night has just made me even more excited for our upcoming visit to Universal Studios in Orlando. I really can’t wait and I am counting down the days until our visit.
