I love meeting up with fellow bloggers and the Blogs up North Meetup at Annies in Manchester managed to include cake and a good chat which made it even better.

The Afternoon tea that Annies put on for us was not only beautiful to look at but gorgeous to eat and after a lengthy debate over whether jam or cream should be added to the scone first we all tucked into the delicious cakes and sandwiches. I was really impressed with the price at just £19.95 for two people it is really reasonable for Manchester and the coffee was fantastic, which is always important for me.
The decor in Annies is warm, friendly and comfortable and you just have to go and check out all of the toilets as they look amazing and I almost wanted to spend my time in there.Annies is owned by Coronation street Star Jennie McAlpine and she loves popping in and seeing how things are going and chatting with the customers. We have seen Jennie at Annie’s twice now and she is always friendly and welcoming to the customers, making you feel like you are an old friend. It was lovely to see her chatting and having pictures with the various customers and it really seemed to make their day.
I would definitely recommend a visit to Annies if you are ever in Manchester and wondering where to go to lunch, I know I have it on my list after seeing the burgers that were being served to other customers whilst we were there.
