I decided to do something different to tell the girls that we were off to Disneyland Paris this November so when Ravensburger offered us a Disney Eiffel Tower 3D jigsaw I decided that it would be a great way of surprising them.
Hiding the box and just having all the pieces on the floor I asked them to help me build the jigsaw. This was made easier by the fact that the pieces had numbers on them and they also showed you in which direction to attach the next piece.
We worked together to build the three pieces and they loved the different designs on the side but they still had no idea what it was we were building.
Once put together Elizabeth realised it was the Eiffel tower and when I said we will be able to go and see it and Mickey Mouse when she finished treatment she started squealing and I just wish I had caught it on video so I could share it with you.
This is our first ever 3D puzzle by Ravensburger that is not a ball and I have to say it was tricky in places but then the box does state from 12 years plus. The main issue I had was bending the corners as they could be quite small and you had to be careful not to bend the edges as well as the crease.
However the detail on the puzzle and the blue plastic stands hold it together well and I think it looks great when put together. It is currently on the side in Elizabeth’s bedroom and everytime she sees it she tells me how much she is looking forward to our trip to Disneyland Paris and I can’t help thinking how much she deserves it.
