With this in mind I was really surprised when Elizabeth chose the Lego Castle Dragon Mountain set.
We had great fun building this set together and she had a fantastic sense of accomplishment when she built the dragon all by herself. The set is quite intricate with dungeons, catapults, hidden lairs and treasure chests.
The attention to detail always surprises me and the spider and rat accessories are brilliant additions. Once built this set is perfect for imaginative play and has enough characters and moving parts to really bring the adventures to life.
From the poor princess locked in the tower to the wizard mixing spells in his hidden lair this set is full of opportunities for play. With the dragon guarding the set the knights have to use the catapult to scare him away whilst avoiding his fire.
I am tempted to get some glue out and stick this set together so the girls can continue to play with it without me having to keep fixing it. They have loved this set so much and because it has girl and boy characters as well as animals they are able to play together nicely without arguing. |
