Acer Iconia B1

Me being sent a tablet to review is like giving a child candy and when it is an Acer that is all the better. I love Acer. My poor laptop that died last week was an Acer and I can not wait to get it fixed so I can stop using this Samsung one.

The B1 is a fantastic on the go tablet and because it only costs £100 I would feel happy having it in my handbag at all times which is something I don’t do with my nexus.

Run on jellybean it has a reliable operating system and is smooth to use. the girls prefer an android system to iOS so they knew how to use this straight away.

When you are looking at Racer’s offerings in the budget market you really do see that they understand that value still means quality and this tablet is no exception. My own downside would be that the tablets casing feels a bit cheaper but you can not argue with the specifications and it is amazing value for what it is. You can also pick up some nice cases on Amazon which takes away that plastic feel to it. The B1 was really easy to set up and we were up and downloading games in less than two minutes which is fantastic.

I wasn’t impressed when I read that it had a 0.3mp camera but if you look at the photo below it isn’t as bad as you would think and really they have spent so much making sure the specs of everything else is fantastic that you can’t really moan. it even has a microSd slot that allows you to expand the memory up to 32GB and GPS. This tablet would be ideal for those on the move a lot worried about carrying expensive equipment, young children, teenagers in fact anyone that needs a cheap android tablet could do a hell of a lot worse than this.

Acer’s Iconia B1 seven-inch tablets are perfect for new  tablet users or those looking for an additional tablet for their household. The tablet is the same size as a standard book page – with the display comfortable for e-reading, web browsing, playing games and watching films. Super portable and, at a feather-light 320 grams, it’s one of the lightest seven-inch tablets on the market.
