With the kids back at school this month, Hubby and I have finally managed to reclaim use of the TV. As we don’t have any more holidays booked until half term, we can now start to enjoy evenings sat at home on the sofa together watching films on Netflix.
Recently I have started watching ‘Orange is the new black’. I don’t usually follow the crowd as I’ve heard a lot of hype surrounding this program. One night when Hubby was putting the kids to bed, I decided to watch some Netflix on my phone and came across this comedy drama set in a women’s prison. The lead character (Piper) is from an upper class part of New York, when is sent to prison for 15 months for a crime she committed in her youth. Each episode sees Piper dropped into a typical prison situation, which always seems to end with her offending inmates or campaigning for better treatment.
Hubby was pleased that he recently managed to convert his technophobe Dad into using Netflix for the very first time. This came about because the classic comedy ‘Bottom’ was showing as popular with other Netflix users. So when he saw that he could watch the whole series advert free, he immediately signed up for his own account.
Lastly, Alison was very happy to find an episode for Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maxium Overload. Even though it’s was released last year, she still enjoyed watching the Avengers do battle with Loki and other villains. Also, the girls really enjoy playing Lego Marvel Super Heroes with Daddy on his PS4.
