Meeting new bloggers with Blogs Up North

Today was an extremely busy day but a thoroughly enjoyable one. Although I spent the morning trying to push Hubby out of the door (what takes him so long to get ready???) we did actually make it to Legoland Discovery centre before 11am for the Blogs Up North meetup. We were beaten there by a few of the families but everything was being organised really well by one of the lovely lads that works there so we met those families in the shop before sending them upstairs to enjoy themselves.

In total we had 16 families including mine all from around the North come along and spend the day together at the centre. It was quite busy but not overly so but I did find it quite hot, is 29 too early for the menopause? Thankfully I just went into the 4D cinema to cool down and watch the fabulous films with Legends of Chima still the firm favourite over Lego City.

Picture

Its a terrible picture but fabulous to have us all in one place.

After our fun at Legoland Discovery Centre some of us popped next door to Cadwaladers to enjoy a coffee and an ice cream for the kids. With so many flavours to choose from it took quite a while for the girls to decide what they wanted but we got their in the end. The ice cream was gorgeous and I did actually indulge myself with a kids teddy cone and coffee ice cream. I don’t know how many syns are in it but it was worth every single one but I am disappointed they didn’t have any of the frozen yogurt as I would have loved one of their sundaes with the yogurt and fruit. I will check back in next time we are over that way and try it then.

It is great to have so many bloggers who are fairly local to each other. It offers us a great support network and gives our kids someone to play with when we go to events. I love the monthly Blogs Up North family meetups and look forward to organising many more family events and the blogger only conference in July.
