We love having that festival feeling and so when Tesco offered to send us a box full of festival essentials we jumped at the chance. Unfortunately they arrived quite late in the summer and living in Manchester meant that we had to wait patiently for a day when it wasn’t raining.
With the sun making a rare appearance we headed into the garden to bring that festival feeling to our garden with the tepee tent and some solar powered Chinese lantern shaped outdoor lights. Now no festival would be complete without some wellies and sun glasses as you never know what the weather will be like so you always have to come prepared for both eventualities.
We had great fun setting up the tent in the garden and stringing up the lights which would have looked brilliant in the dark. The tent was just big enough for the girls to play in and as it was easy to put up it is something we would use again and again.

As well as the festival essentials we were given a tesco giftcard to stock up on the perfect food and drink so we decided to get everything we would need for a picnic. Festival food can cost a fortune so packing your own picnic ensures that you save pennies whilst eating food you know you will all like. Unfortunately by the time we were ready for the picnic the Manchester weather had returned so we enjoyed an indoor picnic instead.
The girls loved pretending to be at a festival in the back garden and the added benefit of being able to come inside when it rains is definitely a bonus. We will be putting our festival pack to good use in the future and making the most of our summer whilst it lasts.
