Food Coma – The feeling that you have eaten so much food you want to sleep
Having learnt our lesson from previous visits to Dog Bowl we decided to play our game of bowling before we ate and this was definitely a great idea. Although our bellies were growling at us during our game as the succulent smells wafted over to us from the other diners lunch we did manage to complete our game without too much disruption and without feeling the need to take a seat between each frame.
Dog Bowl is a fabulous bowling alley with 5 lanes, dog shaped ball returns and pool ball designed bowling balls. Even though Dog Bowl has been around for a while now it still looks as good as it did when we first walked through the doors.
After a thrilling game of bowling in which Elizabeth beat Gaming Daddy of Two and my appalling bowling earnt me last place we sat down and struggled to choose from the amazing menu. Deciding to try something different we opted for the chilli nachos to start, Gaming Daddy of Two had the Buttermilk chicken and I had the Green Meany burger. We then ordered a portion of onion rings and a portion of hush puppies which were amazing. In fact all the food was amazing.
Kids are also well catered for and the Dog Bowl kids menu is not only fantastic value but it tastes amazing too! Although the portions are definitely aimed towards the older kids as my girls struggled to finish their main (they demolished the starter) although somehow they found space for their puddings!
Dog Bowl is one of our favourite places to go as a family in Manchester and with the fabulous offers they have available there is no excuse for you not to head down there and see for yourself how wonderful the food and atmosphere is.
