Have you ever looked at the food in the Harry Potter movies and wished you could eat it? This Summer holidays Warner Bros Studio Tour The Making of Harry Potter will be showcasing some of the fabulous Sweets and Treats that featured in the films. Showcasing how they were made and seeing if you can spot which ones are real and which are fake.
With food that looks so good you want to eat it you make be surprised to find that most of it is made with resin but some such as the floating pudding from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets were actually real.
Watching the prop makers create items such as these delicious looking sweets are bound to get tummies rumbling.
Luckily this summer the new backlot cafe will be selling Butterbeer ice-cream for the very first time and as someone who has tasted it I would definitely recommend you try some.
As well as being able to watch some of the props being made certain areas in the studios will be dressed to match one of the scenes where Sweets and treats make an appearance. This includes the Great Hall’s long tables lined with a Hogwarts Feast and the Gryffindor Common Room which will be dressed as it was for the Quidditch victory scenes in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Over in Diagon Alley you will be able to see how the “frozen” desserts were assembled for Florean Fortescue’s Ice-cream parlour and in the Art Department you will be able to get a look at some of the original sketches and designs for products and packaging from Honeydukes and Weasleys Wizard Wheezes.
As well as this fantastic feature Warner Bros Studio Tour The Making of Harry Potter opened the Platform 9 3/4 area a few months ago which really is spectacular so if you haven’t been to see it yet put it on your summer to do list. You can get tickets for Warner Bros Studio Tour the making of Harry Potter on their website.
