Our local Hollywood Bowl has recently undergone a refurbishment so we headed over to check it out. We were booked into one of the new VIP lanes which featured leather seats, cubby holes for all your stuff, special bowling balls and a red rope to keep everyone else out of the lane. We were looked after by a member of staff who took our food and drink orders and brought them to us in the lane and was helpful and friendly.
The bowling balls that we had were brilliant and I wish I had a picture to show you as they had finger holes in two different sizes which meant that we didn’t need different of balls of the same weight as we could use the same one. This meant that the place that the balls are stored wasn’t cluttered.
The girls both had a great time beating me at bowling and we would definitely book for the VIP lanes again as it was so nice to be able to sit on a nice seat and get service to the lane.
We sampled some of the food available at Hollywood bowl and absolutely loved the buttermilk chicken wings and the popcorn chicken. I was disappointed to find there wasn’t really any healthy options as even the two salads on the menu had a fairly high-calorie content but the girls really enjoyed sampling the burgers, hotdogs, and puddings whilst I watched on eating my slimming world hi-fi bars with a rumbling tummy.
We had a brilliant time and would certainly return to Hollywood Bowl for a fun family day out. They also do birthday parties which looked like lots of fun too!
