Sealife Centre Manchester – Merlin Annual Pass Ambassador

The best thing about being a Merlin Annual Pass Holder is that we can visit the Merlin attractions without worrying about the impact on our bank balance. This also means that we can take advantage of the local attractions whenever we want. Living in Manchester means that we are really close to Sealife Centre Manchester and Legoland Discovery Centre Manchester.

We headed across to Sealife Centre Manchester after school a few weeks ago to check out the new giant crabs. These Japanese spider crabs reach over 3 metres in length from claw to claw.

The Lair of the giant crabs opened back in April and is home to two giant Japanese spider crabs, a giant pacific octopus and the chance to crawl through a 360-degree doughnut tank which is home to 100 floating moon jellyfish.

We love spending out time wandering around the Sealife Centre Manchester enjoying the different exhibits. There is always so much to see and my girls enjoy checking out all the different tanks. Their favourite part of Sealife Centre Manchester is the tunnel where you can see the sharks and the giant turtles. We spend ages in the tunnel watching as the different animals swim by.

As well as the tanks there are lots of different interactive elements to the centre as well as a small soft play climbing centre for kids under 140cm.

The Sealife Centre Manchester is one of the smallest centres we have visited so it isn’t the sort of place you can spend the whole day but it is great for an after school trip or one that is combined with a visit to the Legoland Discovery Centre Manchester which is just next door.

We would like to thank Merlin Annual Pass for providing my family with a year full of fun. We look forward to sharing our adventures with you.
