We are big fans of the Wild Rumpus events and we are very excited about this years Lost Carnival event which is slightly different. You see instead of just a few short days to go along and experience the fun of the Lost Carnival this year you will be able to head to Dunham Massey during the month of August.
Dunham Massey has joined forces with Wild Rumpus to present the story of Dunham’s Lost Years and the controversial marriage of George Harry to Catharine Cox.
The Lost Carnival focuses on the stories of two rival Victorian carnival families and changes every year. This year families will watch the backstage life and rehearsals of the performers who have been invited to Dunham Massey by Catharine Cox.
Explore the gardens at Dunham Massey to help the carnival to rehearse and enjoy the beautiful installations of circus and theatrical challenges. Watch the performers and join them as they hula hoop, cartwheel and prepare their costumes. Help them practice their songs and experience so much more.
We can’t wait to head to Dunham Massey during the summer holidays to take part in the magic and immerse ourselves in the world of the Lost Carnival.
Behind The Scenes of the Lost Carnival takes place in Dunham Massey garden from 10.30am – 4.30pm daily. Parking and entrance to the garden is free to National Trust members. For non-members a charge applies – visit website for prices : http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/dunham-massey
