Geronimo Festival – One week to go!

I cant believe the countdown to Geronimo is here and we are very excited to be meeting up with some of our favourite cbeebies stars and other friends from the numerous festival events we have attended. With Geronimo being at Tatton Park in Cheshire it is just a hop, skip and a jump for us making it a fabulous family day out as I don’t have to worry about hotels or a long drive.

I have already told you about all the amazing people you will get to see such as Alex Winters, Katy Ashworth, Mr Bloom, Cook and Line from Swashbuckle and loads more but Geronimo isn’t just about what is happening on stage so I thought I would take a look at all the fantastic opportunities to get stuck in and do something fun.

The Manchester School of Samba who will be holding daily workshops and leading a procession at 4.30pm each day at the festival. So you can get your dancing hips swaying and join in with this fabulous brazilian dancing.

There is an amazing eye catching theatre installation inside a giant nine metre long sleeping pig. Honestly I am not joking, I can’t wait to see this in person!

You can take part in some Master Model Build Workshops with the Legoland Discovery Centre team and touch and feel some exciting sea creatures with the team from the Sealife Centre Manchester.

For the littles ones Tumble Tots will be offering taster sessions to those who are walking up to 5 years of age. The 20 minute sessions will be a fun and challenging experience on specially designed play equipment.

Also in the 3ft and under section there will be a pop-up petting farm, donkey rides and a bouncy inflatable village.

For those kids who are more active the Adrenaline zone is the place to be with tree climbing, den making and a thrilling zip line that will reach speeds of up to 60kph! I might have to give that one a miss.

For those quiet periods there are also interactive storytelling sessions, baby massage and baby yoga.

If you are always telling your kids that they behave like clowns then get them to learn a few tricks at the Circus Skills Workshop. I would also recommend that you head to one of the many craft workshops in the Funky Junk Zone.

There is also cooking masterclasses, dressing up areas and a disco to enjoy and that is just a few of the things going on. You really wont be able to do it all and with all of that included in the price of admission this will be a fun packed exhausting day you will all remember.
