Christmas in the City of Birmingham

Ok so I know it is only October but I am already looking forward to Christmas and one thing I love doing is visiting the Christmas markets. Whilst the markets in Manchester are magical enough I am looking forward to visiting some other Christmas markets.

In November I will be visiting France with Alice from My Life as Alice to spend some time in Nantes before heading over to Angers to visit the Chateau Brissac fair. I am also looking at spending some time at various Christmas markets within the UK.

Christmas is all about food for me and a weekend in Birmingham visiting the Frankfurt Christmas Markets and having a wander around theBBC Good Food Winter Show at the NEC glugging Gluhwein or munching mince pies sounds like just what I need to get me in the mood for the festive season.

A great way to see the sights of Birmingham is by staying in one of the local hotels and making a weekend of it. Whether you want to stay close to the Good Food Show at the CP Birmingham NEC or just of the motorway at the HI Coventry M6 Jct 2 then you will find family friendly hotels that are a perfect base for your adventures.
To get you in the mood for the Christmas Markets I have been thinking about all of the food available to buy that make Christmas the festive experience my belly loves. So here is my list of top ten Christmas market purchases.1) Gluhwein
2) Mince Pies
3) Bratwursts
4) Hog Roast rolls
5) Stollen
6) Gingerbread
7) Fudge
8) Panettone
9) cured sausages
10) CHEESE!

What is your favourite Christmas food? Are you going to a Christmas Market this year?
