Camp Bestival – Things we did in lower and upper Kids Gardens

When we woke up on the first morning of Camp Bestival we looked out of our tent and we could see the Helter skelter and the world’s biggest bouncy castle. This meant that our first place to visit had to be the Lower and Upper Kids Gardens.

The Upper and Lower kids gardens were jam packed with lots of things to try as well as lots of shows to watch. One of our favourite places to visit was Mission Control, home to so many amazing space-based experiences. Our personal favourite was the Explorer Domes, inflatable domes that you crawled inside to watch a show based on constellations and planets. They had a Key Stage one show and one for older kids and both of my girls loved it (as did we!).

Outside of the tent, you could find the Carousel, Helter Skelter, swings and the Worlds biggest bouncy castle which all had a small fee for having a go.

As we wandered around the fields we came across a variety of shows including the Insect circus, the travelling barns and circus Raj. There was always something to watch whilst chilling in the sunshine.

The kids garden were also home to the Literary Institute, Jurassic CSI, the Science tent, Soft Play, a giant sand pit and Art Town. Alison loved Art Town and enjoyed making her very own Spider from Mars.

Right at the very top of Upper kids Garden, past the delicious Feast Collective was Big Top Mania where the girls tried their luck on the tight ropes, stilts, unicycles, pogo sticks and giant inflatable balls.

These two fields were jammed packed with stuff to do as well as the best festival food I have ever tried. In fact, if we didn’t have so many other places to explore I am sure we could have just spent the whole weekend here!
