Things to do this Easter Bank Holiday weekend in London

This Easter weekend I am taking my Mum and my girls in to London to go to the Theatre to see Matilda on Saturday night to celebrate my Mums birthday so I started to look for some other great things to do whilst we are there. I found some great Easter activities so I thought I would share them with you.

Easter Afternoon Tea at The Arch

We love going for Afternoon Tea so when I heard about the special Easter Afternoon Tea at The Arch I arranged for us to go along and try the menu on Saturday afternoon. The extra special Afternoon Tea will feature classic scones and
sandwiches as well as sweet treats including: Battenburg; Rhubarb fool; and Lemon Curd Cupcakes. The Arch London also has a new Easter Menu and if you are looking at staying in London for the weekend then they have a special Family Fun package where kids get to eat for free and even use childs sized cutlery.  The kids will be treated to a speciality Archie Bear on arrival and there will also be special children’s bathroom products and children’s sized bathrobes, slippers and clothes hangers waiting in their rooms making it the perfect place for the family to stay this Easter.

Creme Egg Burger at K West Hotel and Spa

The Creme Egg Burger is back at K West Hotel & Spa this Easter. Back by popular demand the Creme Egg Burger that was so popular last year has had a refresh and is back on the menu for a limited time only. Available from the dessert menu or as part of the Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea.

The mini slider burgers are made from a sweet brioche bun dipped in white chocolate and dusted in raspberry sprinkles. This is topped with the ‘burger’ – a gooey melted crème egg, encased in golden batter and topped with mascarpone cream and a good helping of strawberry jelly. The Spring Rocks Afternoon Tea also includes other tempting treats such as Assorted Candy Floss, Mini Donuts, the Daim Dog, as well as the more traditional freshly baked blueberry ‘rolling scones’ and loose leaf tea.

A fantastical Easter experience with Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory The Musical and the Coca-Cola London Eye. Take to the skies with head of creations and inventions Professor Pop on a Golden adventure, where you’ll need to use your imagination to create the next big scrumdidlyyumptious treat.

The Wondercrump World of Roald Dahl at The Southbank Centre

The interactive experience takes visitors on a magical journey through seven different immersive worlds that explore Roald Dahl’s life and the world of his iconic books. Featuring exclusive archival material from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, including original manuscripts, personal letters, drawings, photographs and cherished objects, the exhibition offers a unique insight into the inspiration behind some of Dahl’s best loved characters and stories. The exhibition will launched for Imagine in February and continues at Southbank Centre daily throughout spring until 3 July, before travelling to the Wales Millennium Centre.
