3 Things To Do in London With the Kids

London is home to a whole lot of fun attractions for both adults and children to enjoy. Where you may pay a pretty penny to enjoy some of the events held in London, there are places to take the kids that are very cost-effective, but also bags of fun! Here are three top suggestions to begin with that allow you to then spend your money on luxury hotels in families:

1: Take in the sights

Head to central London to take in the iconic sights of Big Ben and Parliament. An easy stroll across Westminster Bridge and along the South Bank will give you spectacular views of the mighty River Thames. Eventually, you will reach Jubilee Gardens – this is a FREE children’s playground that sits in the shadow of another of the Capital’s icons, the London Eye. Covent Garden is also a place with plenty to discover. The kids will be entertained with lots of street performers to sit and watch.

2: Museums, museums, museums!

London is also home to a great number of museums, all of which are free to enter. You can spend hours getting lost and taking in the many wonders housed within both the Natural History Museum that hold a range of ever-changing events throughout the year as well as the best dinosaur skeleton collection in the country. The Science Museum can be found right next door and the kids can think like a real scientist in the fully- interactive Wonderlab: The Equinox Gallery.

3: Go Crazy with Plonk Golf

Plonk Crazy Golf has taken a whole new approach to Crazy Golf! With venue’s across London including Battersea, Camden Market and Hackney, Plonk! has also created a course with kids in mind. Head to the Horniman Museum in Forest Hill to experience a nine-hole family-friendly crazy-golf course set in the beautiful grounds of the museum. The Horniman Museum itself makes for an interesting visit, with extensive anthropological galleries, a butterfly room, petting zoo and aquarium. The kids can have a great time exploring the museum and grounds, then burn off the rest of their energy playing a round of Plonk! Crazy-golf.
