I have been a fan of weebles for a really long time and it makes me sad that my girls have now outgrown this classic toy. Luckily for me, next door I have a very willing participant who loved being introduced to the new Peppa Pig Weebles toys available now from Smyths Toys.
We were sent the Peppa Pig Weebles pull-along wobbily train and the Peppa Pig Weebles 2 pack. You can also get the figures in single packs or as a Peppa and Friends figure pack which includes 4 weebles figures. Other playsets include the push-along wobbily car and the wind and wobble playhouse.
As with all weebles, the best thing about the figures and playsets is that they don’t fall out no matter how much they wibble and wobble around.
The train has space for 3 of the Peppa Pig Weebles figures and has wobbily wheels which make the characters jiggle around in their seats. The carriages also feature some basic letters and are different colours so you can easily add in some learning as you play. The train came with a Peppa Weebles figure with a teddy design on her dress whereas the Peppa we received in the 2 figure pack has a plain dress. It is good to see that they have thought of this as we wouldn’t want two of the same Peppa Pig figures.
The quality of the items means that you feel safe allowing your child to explore and play (with supervision) and imagine to their heart’s content.
Suitable for ages 18 months plus the Peppa Pig Weebles collection of toys allows children to learn through play whilst enjoying the hilarity of the weebles. With the key Peppa Pig characters available to add to the collection I am sure that these toys will be played with again and again.
